Many first time shippers go online and submit their contact information in the hopes of getting (10) free quotes for their transport. Then they are literally overwhelmed with calls at all hours from 10 or more aggressive sales people. These calls persist for a week or more and shippers quickly become confused with no real way to discern the good from the bad.
Many times these transportors take the liberty of posting you on the national dispatch board without your permission. So when you finally do decide who you’d like to do business with, your vehicle has already been posted which can block your chosen broker from getting you the best rate. Know that this is an auction process and that you are literally raising your own rate by bidding against yourself if you book with multiple brokers.
This also slows down the offers to move your car because carriers don’t want to risk showing up and having the vehicle gone because another carrier has gotten there first. By engaging multiple brokers to work for you, you sabotage your chances of getting the best rate. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT work with more than one broker, I’ve seen it happen hundreds of times and the uninformed shipper pays a higher price for this mistake!
